Jelly Rolls, those tasty little bundles of fabric, introduced in 2006 by Moda Fabrics, consist of 40 2 1/2" wide strips of fabric from a Moda collection. They're an inexpensive way for quilters to sample an entire fabric range.
Looking so delicious all rolled up, just like the edible treat by the same name, they became fast favourites, with quilters gobbling them up quickly.
With the Jelly Roll, ever so popular, Moda came up with another sweet way to offer their fabric collections - Layer Cakes, which contain 42 precut 10" squares.
And if they weren't enough to whet your appetite, Moda has now introduced Honey Buns and Turnovers. A Honey Bun looks like a Jelly Roll but is thinner. It's a collection of 40 precut strips of 1 1/2" fabric from one of Moda's select ranges. Turnovers are collections of 6" half-square triangles of fabric. Typically they include 2 triangles of 40 different prints for a total of 80 triangles. These triangles pair well with Moda's 5" Charm Packs.
Having all these co-ordinating colours and prints in one package makes it easy to whip up a quick project. Moda has even opened a Bake Shop full of recipes you can use.
